In fiscal 2022, the total ecommerce sales of Walmart grew to $66.3 billion compared to $59.6 billion in the previous year. Walmart US had net ecommerce sales worth $47.8 billion in fiscal 2022, compared to $43 billion in 2021. On the other hand, Walmart International had net ecommerce sales worth $18.5 billion in 2022 compared to $16.6 billion in 2021.

 During fiscal 2020, Walmart experienced sharp growth in its ecommerce sales and revenue. Over the past three years, the company has been investing in technology and perfecting its ecommerce capabilities. It also made a series of acquisitions aimed at growing its competitive advantage in online sales. Digital shopping trends have been strengthening over time leading to more and more US based retailers investing in ecommerce. Other players like Target and Costco are also aggressively focusing on maximizing digital sales to grow their share of revenue from ecommerce. Walmart’s ecommerce sales in fiscal 2020 grew to $35.9 billion compared to $25.1 billion in fiscal 2019. Net revenue of the company grew to $524 billion in 2020 from $514.4 billion in 2019.

In fiscal year 2019, Walmart US ecommerce sales have grown by around 40% and the company has projected growth of 35% for the next year.

Walmart US, which is the largest business segment of Walmart followed by ‘Walmart International’ and ‘Sam’s Club’ saw ecommerce sales of $3.2 Billion during the first 3 months of fiscal year 2019 and $6.6 Billion during the first half of the fiscal year. Its revenue from ecommerce channels during the first 9 months was $10.2 Billion. 

In 2019, the revenue of Walmart has grown by 2.8% over the last year to $514.4 Billion. However, its free cash flow declined by $0.9 Billions to $17.4 Billion in 2019. During the first six months of fiscal year 2019 ‘Walmart US’ saw net sales of $160.1 Billion of which $6.6 Billion was from ecommerce. During the first nine months of 2019, walmart US had net sales of $241.15 Billion dollars of wich $10.2 Billion dollars were from ecommerce. Over the year, Walmart US has $15.7 billion in net sales from ecommerce channels. Walmart International had net sales of $6.7 billion from ecommerce channels and Sam’s club had net sales of $2.7 billion.  Walmart’s total revenue from ecommerce reached $25.1 billion in fiscal 2019.
