2021:  2021 was the best financial year in the history of Verizon. Its net revenue reached $133.6 billion in 2021. Previously, the company had generated more than $130 billion in net revenue in 2018 and 2019. The company experienced growth in revenue across both consumer and business groups in 2021 compared to the prior year. The consumer group experienced 7.6% increase in net revenue in 2021 compared to the previosu year. Verizon's net revenue in 2021 from the consumer segment increased to $95,300 million compared to $88,533 million in 2020. The business group on the other hand experienced only 0.3% increase in net revenue in 2021 compared to 2020. The company's net revenue from the business group reached $31,042 million in 2021 compared to $30,962 million in 2020.

2018: Verizon has two reportable segments, Wireless and Wireline, which it operates and manages as strategic business units. These segments are organized by products and services, and customer groups, respectively. Based upon revenue Wireless is the larger of the two segments which generated $91,734 million in revenue in 2018. The wireline segment on the other hand generated $29,760 million revenue in 2018.
