Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is a global automobile brand that manufactures and sells cars, automobile parts, and production systems. As of 2018, it had 102 manufacturing facilities and 46 research and development centers. The company has operations in more than 40 countries and sells its products in more than 135 countries. FCA shipped 4.8 million vehicles in 2018 and its net revenues for the fiscal year reached €110.4 billion. Research and development expenses of FCA were €3,051 million in 2018 compared to €2,903 million in fiscal 2017.
FCA increased its research and development expenses in fiscal 2019 to €3,612 million in 2019.
