At the end of fiscal 2021, the total number of Domino's restaurants worldwide was 18,848, of which 6,560 were located in the United States and 12,288 were located in the international markets (outside the US). The company generated $4,357.4 million in net revenue in 2021 compared to $4,117.4 million in 2020.

Based on the global retail sales, Domino's is the largest pizza company in the world. It was founded in 1960 and the company has since then grown a strong international presence with more than 18,800 locations throughout more than 90 countries in the world (2021).

Globally, the entire Domino's system (including franchised and company owned restaurants) sells more than 3 million pizzas daily. The main source of revenue for Domino's is the royalty and fees the company receives from its franchisees.

Apart from them, the company also operates a limited number of company-owned stores. Pizza is the second-largest category in the US QSR industry whose size was around 299.6 Billion US dollars in 2018. The pizza category alone in the US QSR industry has grown to the size of 36.5 Billion dollars. In 2018, Domino's had 5,486 franchise stores in the US operated by 793 independent franchisees.
