The business of Huawei is organized into three main business segments including carrier business, enterprise business and Consumer business. The consumer business is the largest of the three segments based upon revenue followed by Carrier Business and Enterprise business.
2021: In 2021, the consumer business of Huawei suffered a solid decline in sales and remained the second largest business segment of Huawei based on net revenue. The carrier business of Huawei remained the largest business segment generating 281,469 million Chinese Yen in 2021 compared to 302,621 million Chinese Yen in 2020. The enterprise business of Huawei experienced a slight increase in net sales in 2021 compared to the prior year. Its net sales remained 102,440 million Chinese Yen in 2021 compared 100,339 million Chinese Yen in the prior year. Huawei's net revenue from the other segments remained 9,463 million Chinese Yen in 2021 compared to 5,592 million Chinese Yen in 2020.
2018: The consumer business of Huawei generated ¥348,852 million revenue in 2018 while the Carrier business generated ¥294,012 million and the Enterprise business ¥74,409 million in 2018.
The Carrier Business provides a series of products, services and business solutions including wireless network, fixed network, cloud core network, carrier software, IT infrastructure, network energy, professional services, and network rollout services, for global telecom carriers.
The Enterprise Business builds a digital infrastructure platform by using new ICT technologies such as cloud computing, software-defined networking, big data and Internet of Things to provide products and services that help industries (like government, public utilities, finance, energy, transport, and manufacturing) digitize their processes.
The Consumer Business provides smartphones, tablets, wearable devices, converged home devices, as well as the applications on these devices for consumers and businesses.
