HP has divided its business into three main operating segments that include Personal systems, printing and corporate investments. It generates substantially all of its revenues from the personal systems and printing divisions.
Personal Systems :
In 2021, HP generated $43.36 billion from the personal systems division, compared to $39 billion in 2020. It generated $30.52 billion from the sales of notebooks in 2021 compared to $25.8 billion in 2020. Its sales of desktops were down in 2021 compared to 2020. The company generated $9.4 billion from the sales of desktops in 2021 compared to $9.8 billion in 2020. Its net revenues from the sales of workstations in 2021 were $1.669 billion compared to $1.816 billion in 2020.
Printing:
HP's net revenues from the printing division was $20.13 billion in 2021 compared to $17.64 billion in 2020. It generated $12.63 billion from the sales of printing supplies in 2021 compared to $11.6 billion in 2020. The company generated $4.2 billion from the sales of commercial printers in 2021 compared to $3.54 billion in 2020. HP's revenues from the sales of consumer printers was $3.3 billion in 2021 compared to $2.52 billion in 2020.
