It sold 3.323 million vehicle units in 2021 in the AMEA region compared to 3.431 million units in the previous year. In the South American markets vehicle unit sales of General Motors declined to 393,000 in 2021 from 470,000 in 2020.

In North America, sales of general Motors during fiscal 2018 came down to 3.49 million units from 3.58 million units in 2017. In Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa, total vehicle sales equalled 4.2 million (3.65 million in China).
