Dow is a leading chemical company based in the United States. It was spun off from DowDupont in 2019. Dow and Dupont are now two separate companies.
Dow saw significant improvement in its financial performance in 2021 compared to the prior year. The company experienced particualrly solid growth in the sales of packaging and specialty plastics in 2021 compared to the prior year.

Packaging and specialty plastics is the largest reportable business segment of Dow based on net sales. This segment generated $28,128 million in 2021 in net sales compared to $18,301 million in 2020.
The second largest segment of Dow chemicals is Industrial intermediates and infrastructure which generated $16,851 million in 2021 compared to $12,021 million in 2020. Performance materials and coatings is the third largest segment of Dow chemicals which generated $9,672 million in 2021 compared to $7,951 million in 2020.
