Dollar General is among the largest discount retailers in the United States by number of stores, with 18,130 stores located in 46 states as of January 29, 2022. By February 25 2022, the number of Dollar General Stores had increased to 18,190. The largest number of Dollar General stores are concentrated in the southern, southwestern, midwestern and eastern United States.

In fiscal 2021, Dollar General's net revenues increased to $34.2 billion compared to $33.75 billion in 2020 or 1.4% yoy growth.

The net revenue of Dollar General in fiscal 2020 grew sharply, rising to $33.75 billion compared to $27.75 billion in 2019.

Net Revenue of Dollar General grew to $25,625 million in 2018 from $23,471 million in 2017.

The company offers a broad selection of merchandise, including consumable items, seasonal items, home products and apparel. Its merchandise includes national brands from leading manufacturers, as well as our own private brand selections with prices at substantial discounts to national brands.

Dollar general offers its customers these national brand and private brand products at everyday low prices (typically $10 or less) in its convenient small-box locations.
