The product development (R&D) expenses of Alibaba group for FY 2019 were ¥37,435 million or $5,578 million. Previous fiscal year (2018), its R&D expenses were ¥22,754 million or $3,628 million. In FY 2019, R&D expenses of Alibab group were 10% of the revenue compared to 9% previous fiscal year.
